Apertally Editorial maintains the calculators and field guides published on this website. Our objective is to help readers make better-informed photographic decisions without disguising estimates as certainty.
Accuracy and scope
Guides are written around a defined practical question. Technical statements are checked against primary documentation where reasonably available, and important qualifications are included when results vary by equipment, mode or working method.
Editorial independence
Calculator outputs are determined by their inputs and published methods. Retailers and future commercial partners do not receive control over calculations, conclusions or corrections. Product availability does not determine whether an option is technically suitable.

Corrections
Material errors are corrected as soon as they are confirmed. We distinguish factual corrections from ordinary clarifications or stylistic edits, and update the page review date when the substance changes.
